De Planthof

Welcome to BSO De Planthof, located at De Fjord 44 in Emmeloord. We are part of KleurRijk childcare and open our doors on Monday, Wednesday and Friday whenever enough parents register. Our after-school care is designed for children aged 4 to 12 who already attend primary school. At De Planthof we want children to feel safe and at home. We work from a Christian identity: our pedagogical staff share Christian values and let children experience God’s love. We pray together before lunch, listen to Christian children’s music and celebrate Christian holidays. Our room borders the familiar school playground, so children can start playing and running right away. We go outside at least once a day; when the weather is nice we head to the nearby park. Inside we regularly offer an activity such as a board game, baking or a short excursion. Participation is never compulsory; we give children the freedom to choose for themselves. We cooperate closely with the school. For example, we align with the Kanjertraining that is also used at school and we deliberately choose books that fit our shared Christian identity. Rest, regularity and attention are central: we eat and drink at set times and there is plenty of room to simply enjoy playing. In short, BSO De Planthof is a place where children can relax and have fun after school, cared for in a familiar, Christian environment.
