bso De Ontdekking

BSO De Ontdekking is located within the De Ontdekking primary school building at Jan Huitzingstraat 4 in Hoogezand. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 13 years. Our BSO is a place where children can relax, play and discover new things after school. Children attending the (former) Van Heemskerckschool can come directly to us after school. We pick up the children from school and bring them to our BSO spaces in the De Ontdekking building. Here they can climb in our tree house, chill in our living kitchen, or get creative in the atelier with all the creativity they have inside them. We believe it's important that children help decide on activities. Together with the children, we come up with the most fun activities where each child can discover their talents. Every day is different - today a game, tomorrow learning something new, and the next day perhaps a creative workshop. Our BSO is open from the end of school until 18:30. During school holidays, children can stay with us all day from 07:30 to 18:30. We work with different age groups: a group for 4-6 years, groups for 4-8 years, and groups for 7-13 years. This ensures activities are well-suited to each child's developmental stage. For parents, we offer a convenient app for easy communication about childcare and to report any changes. We work from a pedagogical vision where the child is central and given space to develop themselves in a safe and familiar environment.
