De Onderzeeër

BSO De Onderzeeër is located at Rijksweg 54 in Groningen and is part of the childcare organisation KDV de Vissertjes. We are a young, green after-school care facility open every weekday from 07:00 to 18:00. Our location welcomes up to 17 children aged 4 to 12, offering a safe, challenging and homely environment where they can explore and develop with joy. We work consciously and healthily: the children receive mostly organic meals and, in the near future, vegetables from our own garden. Our pedagogical staff walk to nearby schools to pick up the children and, if needed, take them to school in the morning. Inside our premises – a former family house with three play areas and a garden – we organise both indoor and outdoor activities. Think of planting vegetables and flowers in our greenhouse, creative craft projects, baking cookies in the kitchen, table football and cosy reading corners. In addition, we regularly plan outings: a trip to the forest, a playground or the petting zoo. Activities are listed in advance on our activity schedule so parents and children know exactly what is on the programme. Together with parents we create the space to combine work and family life well, while our staff are given the freedom to show initiative and individuality. This way we ensure that everyone – children, parents and staff – enjoys their time at BSO De Onderzeeër.
