BSO De Mortel

Welcome to BSO De Mortel, part of Kindcentrum De Mortel located at Perweide 5 in Udenhout. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 13 years in a homely and safe environment. Our location works closely with primary school De Mortel, ensuring a smooth transition from school to after-school care. Child participation is central to our approach. We ask the children what they enjoy doing, which activities they choose, and what toys they feel are missing. This way, they learn to make their own choices and contribute to their own leisure time. Every day we offer a varied program of activities, such as arts and crafts, cooking and baking. Children decide for themselves whether they want to participate. We encourage independence by letting children spread their own crackers and cut vegetables and fruit themselves. This builds their self-confidence and teaches them to take responsibility. During school holidays, we regularly organize fun excursions and workshops. We take into account the children's wishes while also encouraging them to discover new things. Our pedagogical staff pick up the youngest children from primary school De Mortel after school. For older children, it is often possible to come to BSO independently, depending on the distance. Our opening hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 07:30 to 18:30. We are closed on Wednesdays. BSO De Mortel accommodates up to 66 children. We work with vertical groups where children of different ages play and learn together. The program is always adapted to the different age groups. Healthy nutrition is important to us. We provide bread meals, fruit and drinks during care. Together we create a cozy afternoon where every child feels welcome.
