BSO de Koningsschool

Welcome to BSO Koningsschool, a warm and homely after-school care facility for children aged 4 to 8, located inside Koningsschool primary school at Burgemeester van Casterenstraat 41 in Waalwijk. We are part of Mikz childcare and offer care in a beautiful, bright space in the child-friendly Landgoed Driessen neighbourhood. From our room, children can step straight onto the outdoor playground and football field. As soon as they arrive, children experience the relaxed atmosphere we strive for. In our central meeting area they enjoy a snack and a drink together, after which they are free to choose from a range of activities. We have set up several play corners: a home corner, a construction corner, a reading and chill corner, and a cooking corner. In addition, we have an art studio and a discovery corner where children can experiment with different materials and tools. A light table and overhead projector add an extra playful dimension to the space. We tailor our activity programme to the interests and needs of the children. Besides relaxation, there is plenty of room to let off steam after a long school day. Our close cooperation with Koningsschool primary school makes collaboration smooth and enjoyable. During school holidays we run our action-packed holiday programme at Villa Vlinderhof childcare centre in the same neighbourhood. Children help decide the theme and activities in advance. Together we draw up a script and enjoy a fantastic holiday period. We also organise ‘Splash Days’ with large-scale activities, where children may even play sports matches with children from other after-school clubs. Feel free to drop by for a tour.
