BSO De Klimboom

BSO De Klimboom is located inside Basisschool De Bongerd at Meester Hertsigstraat 7a in De Rips and offers small-scale, flexible after-school care for children aged 4 to 13. We are open 52 weeks a year, including school holidays, and parents can book care in blocks that match their personal schedule. Our vision is straightforward: when a child comes out of school, they need a home-like place where they can eat and drink, feel safe and simply be themselves. Trust and safety are therefore our top priorities. Every child is welcome to be who they are, relax and develop. Only when a child feels secure is it open to play and learn. We use the DoenKids approach, which lets children decide for themselves what they want to do after school. One day that might be energetic outdoor sports, another day quiet crafting or reading a book. We offer a wide range of activities: treasure hunts, holiday-themed projects, baking, cooking and movement games. During holidays we combine our location with De Kastanjelaar in Milheeze, giving the children even more peers to play with and allowing us to offer an extra challenging programme. Clear structure and agreements are important to us. Just like at school, we work with rules and a fixed routine so that children know what to expect. Additional services such as homework supervision and a dinner service are also available, ensuring maximum convenience for parents and children alike. Our pedagogical staff Monique den Brok and Renate Selten are also the owners of BSO De Klimboom.
