De Helmstok

Welcome to the After-School Care (BSO) of Kindcentrum De Helmstok, located at Volkerakstraat 30 in Lelystad. We provide after-school care in partnership with KleurRijk Kinderopvang. Our BSO is housed within the same building as the primary school, allowing children to stay in a familiar environment after their school day. Our Christian identity is at the heart of everything we do. Our pedagogical staff share Christian values and help children experience God's love. We pray together, listen to Christian children's music, and celebrate Christian holidays. We align with the Kanjertraining method used at the school, ensuring a consistent approach between school and after-school care. Outdoor play is a key part of our program. Children can enjoy the familiar school playground, which includes a slide, swings, and an artificial-grass football field. There is also an open space for games and a storage shed with outdoor play materials such as jump ropes, footballs, and go-karts. When the weather is nice, we sometimes visit the nearby park. We go outside at least once every day. Each day we offer an activity such as sports and games, arts and crafts, or baking. These activities are optional; children can choose whether to join. We emphasize attention and fun. There is plenty of room for free play as well as quiet time. We follow set times for eating and drinking to provide children with structure. Our BSO is open on weekdays from 14:15 to 18:30. We are also open during school holidays, study days, and other school-free days. Parents can easily communicate with our team and register for care through the Parro app.
