BSO de Helden

Welcome to BSO de Helden in Ledeacker, the most fun after-school care where every day brings an awesome activity in the fields of sports, games and creativity. We believe every child has superpowers, and together we set out to discover them even further! Our question to each child is: which hero are you? Our location at Ledeackersestraat 25 welcomes up to 44 children and makes use of the cosy indoor space (football canteen) and the spacious football pitch of Sportpark de Laan. This familiar, sporty setting gives children all the room they need to develop safely and adventurously. We are open Monday to Thursday; the afternoon starts around 1:15 p.m. with a joint discussion of the day and the activity on the schedule. Our pedagogical staff pick the children up from various schools in Wijchen, Mill and Sint Anthonis (by car, bike or on foot – in consultation with parents). Upon arrival we enjoy fruit and drinks together and the children receive an explanation of the day’s activity. Afterwards there is plenty of space for the main activity, free play indoors or outdoors, relaxing or taking part in a small extra activity. In between, a healthy snack and drink is always ready. What sets us apart is the wide range of unique activities that connect with the children’s world of experience: from hockey clinics and guitar lessons to creative craft projects and sporty challenges. Every day we challenge the children and everyone can simply be themselves. We work from a clear pedagogical policy in which safety, security and challenge are central, so that BSO de Helden is a place where adventure and tranquillity go hand in hand. During school holidays we also organise a varied activity programme with sports, games, creativity and nature experiences. Children choose for themselves which activities they want to join, while always leaving room for their own initiatives and free play. In short: at BSO de Helden every day is a new adventure and children grow with pleasure and self-confidence.
