BSO de Heiweg

BSO de Heiweg is a small-scale after-school care centre located at Citroenvlinderstraat 46 in Nijmegen. Founded in 2010, we provide care for children aged 4 to 12 on regular school days, study days and during all school holidays. Our premises include a spacious indoor area and a private playground, plus the unique ‘Fantasy Terrain’, a fenced exploration garden about 350 metres away where children can run free and discover. We deliberately keep our groups small: we maintain a low staff-to-child ratio and limit the number of places each day, ensuring every child receives the attention they deserve. Our qualified pedagogical staff create a homely atmosphere where children feel safe and at ease. Every day we offer a wide and varied programme of activities covering creativity, sports and movement, outdoor play, technology and music. Examples include crafts, games and sports, building, singing and experimenting with technical materials. Children decide for themselves which activities they join; nothing is compulsory, everything is possible. Quality is paramount. The individual child is central and we tailor our activities and guidance to each child’s interests and development. We comply with the statutory quality requirements of the Childcare Act and are registered in the National Childcare Register under number 125863147.
