De Hasselbraam

De Hasselbraam Out-of-School Care is located at ’t Witzand 4 in the centre of Eext, municipality of Aa en Hunze. We provide after-school care for up to 30 children aged 4 to 12. Our location has been registered in the National Childcare Register under number 106662405 since 1 January 2010. We are part of De Hasselbraam B.V., an organisation founded in 2007 with the aim of combining childcare with plenty of outdoor play and contact with nature. The name ‘De Hasselbraam’ comes from a book by Annie M.G. Schmidt: whoever eats from it becomes cheerful and wants to play. We strive to inspire that same playful joy in every child every day. Our BSO is set on a spacious farmstead with a large outdoor area where children can romp, build dens and play with natural materials. Behind the farm lies a forest that we regularly incorporate into our activities. In addition, there is a small children’s farm where the children can visit our animals. This unique environment gives children all the space they need to relax, move and experience new adventures after school. We work with a permanent team of pedagogical staff who ensure a familiar and safe atmosphere. On arrival, children have the opportunity to unwind from the school day with a healthy snack and drink. They can then freely choose from various activities or come up with their own ideas. We offer crafts, outdoor play, games and themed activities, always tailored to the children’s interests. During school holidays we organise an extensive holiday programme with fun outings and extra activities. Outdoor play and nature experience remain central. For parents, this means your child has meaningful and active day care during holidays in a familiar environment. In short, De Hasselbraam BSO offers a warm place where children can play, discover and grow in harmony with nature after school.
