De Haren

BSO De Haren is part of Kanteel Kinderopvang and is located at Kindcentrum De Haren, Ploossche Hof 85, ’s-Hertogenbosch. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 who attend BBS Haren, Donk or Reit primary schools. Our location is open on school days from 07:30 to 18:30 and also during school holidays and study days. We work according to five core principles: child participation, clear task and role division of our pedagogical staff, a broad range of activities, workshops and free activities. Children can choose from activities such as sports and games, arts and crafts, nature and outdoor activities, and creative workshops. We also offer Klup Up, a program with extra challenging activities such as a football tournament and summer and winter days. During holidays we organize a special holiday program and a summer camp. Our pedagogical staff are trained according to the TALENT principle, with safety and emotional support as core values. Each child has a fixed mentor who monitors development and well-being. We work closely with the primary school and other care partners in the neighborhood, such as the Youth & Family basic team, the youth nurse and the library. Parents can contribute to policy through the Kindcentrumraad. We pick up children after school from the affiliated schools and safely bring them to the BSO. Our spaces are invitingly furnished with different play and relaxation areas, a large garden and a sports field. Together we create a pleasant and safe place where children can develop and relax after a school day.
