BSO 'De Groene Helden'

Welcome to BSO 'De Groene Helden' in Balkbrug! Housed in a converted farm at Hoofdweg 15, our after-school care offers children aged 4–12 a daily dose of green adventure once the school day ends. Our experienced educators greet every child with an inspiring mix of sports, games and creativity, all set in the great outdoors. We learn by doing. Children care for animals, tend the vegetable garden, make music and practise children’s yoga. The large garden and surrounding nature serve as our classroom: kids build dens, study insects or cook over a campfire together. Each afternoon is different, yet always offers freedom of choice and challenges tailored to every child. Our approach is truly green. We provide healthy snacks and drinks, focus on sustainability and teach respect for nature and animals. Groups are mixed-age so children learn from and help one another. We partner with local primary schools in and around Balkbrug; after school we pick the children up and the fun, play and development begin. In short, BSO 'De Groene Helden' gives children space to be themselves, make friends and explore the world around them—every day a new outdoor adventure!
