De Geheime Tuin BSO Groenekan

Welcome to BSO Groenekan, part of De Geheime Tuin childcare. Our after-school care is located at sports park Weltevreden, in the cozy clubhouse of the baseball clubs at Voordorpsedijk 73 in Groenekan. We provide care for children aged 7 to 13, with personal attention and nature experience at the heart of our approach. Our educational philosophy is rooted in anthroposophy. We believe every child is unique with their own talents and developmental pace. We offer a safe, warm and homely atmosphere where children can be themselves. Our pedagogical staff provide personal attention and guide children in their development. Nature plays a major role in our daily activities. We make use of our beautiful surroundings: we have our own butterfly garden and the badger path runs right alongside our BSO. We go outside every day, work in the vegetable garden and use natural materials in our activities. We follow the seasons and celebrate traditional festivals like St. John's Day, where we sing and dance with flower wreaths. Our food is organic and we follow our eight golden eating rules. We believe it's important that children eat healthy and tasty food, so they have enough energy to play and learn. We regularly bake bread together and pay lots of attention to taste development. The after-school care is open from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on school days. We work with small groups of maximum 33 children, allowing plenty of room for individual attention. Our location is easily accessible and has sufficient parking. At BSO Groenekan, we believe it's important that children can relax, play and discover new things in a familiar environment after school. We provide structure and peace, but also space for initiative and creativity.
