BSO De Elfenboom

Welcome to BSO De Elfenboom, our cheerful after-school care centre at Willandstraat 7 in the heart of Berghem. Housed in the local scouting building, we offer a cosy group room plus a huge outdoor area where children can run, romp and explore. Location manager Saskia and her warm, enthusiastic team are ready every school day to collect children aged 4 to 12 from Molenveld, Fonkeling 1st stream and Fonkeling 2nd stream. Wearing high-visibility vests for safety, we escort them on foot, by bike or taxi to our site. No two days are the same. We cook and bake healthy snacks, head out to the playground, petting farm, library or a museum, and organise varied sports and games. Children choose what they want to do: crafts, a board game, join an activity or simply play outside. Through the Partou app we keep parents updated so they can see their child is having a great afternoon. Our approach is built on Partou’s six pedagogical foundations: a strong climate in which every child feels safe and seen, and grows in self-confidence and resilience through play. After school it’s time to unwind, make new friends and have fun together – that’s BSO De Elfenboom.
