BSO de Buurvrouw

BSO de Buurvrouw is a welcoming after-school care centre located at Larikslaan 200 in Rotterdam-Schiebroek. We provide care for up to 68 children aged 4 to 12 who attend Fatimaschool, De Ontdekking or De Windwijzer. The centre is organised into three age groups: 4-5, 6-7 and 8-9 years. When a child moves to upper primary school, they automatically transfer to our nearby sister location BSO de Buurman. Inside, children can explore several themed rooms, each with its own atmosphere. The youngest group start their afternoon in the Grand Café, a large space for eating, playing or relaxing on lounge sofas. A cosy “little granny living room” offers books and board games for quiet moments. Further down the hall you will find a theatre room for dance and drama, a creative studio for crafts and tinkering, and another spacious living-room area for games and reading. Children are free to move between rooms and choose what appeals to them. Outdoors we use the adjacent playground of Fatimaschool and regularly walk to Schiebroekse park. Our qualified educators organise daily activities such as arts & crafts, construction games, board games and active outdoor play. Participation is always optional. In addition, the Mundo Activity Team visits regularly to run specialised sessions in sport, nature and creative arts. During holidays and study days we turn the fun up a notch with excursions, workshops and special projects. We work in a spirit of trust and openness. Parents are warmly invited to join our parent committee. Together we ensure every child feels safe, seen and challenged during their free time after school.
