Welcome to Kindercentrum de Buren, our spacious out-of-school care centre in the Haaswijk district of Oegstgeest. We provide care for children aged 4 to 12 and are conveniently located next to Daltonschool Oegstgeest and Joris de Witteschool. Our building has four group rooms of about 42 m² each, a large shared play hall and an ample green outdoor area with vegetable garden, willow tunnel and crawl-through spaces. For the oldest children we run ‘De Overburen’, a dedicated room inside Daltonschool where they can play table football, read, relax or choose games from the wide selection in the games cupboard. We also regularly use the school’s gym for sports activities. Creativity is one of our priorities. In our studio children can paint, build, dress up, cook or bake. We often take trips to the nearby F.B. Hotzpark for sports and games. During school holidays we take the older BSO children to our cabin on recreational island Koudenhoorn in Warmond. Children aged 5 and over can join the regular swimming lessons at Poelmeer pool through us. We transport the children free of charge in our SKO minibus and a qualified pedagogical professional accompanies them during the lesson. We also provide free transport to and from sports clubs or hobby groups elsewhere in Oegstgeest. Our regular pedagogical staff are on hand every day to give the children a safe, challenging and enjoyable afternoon. We use familiar daily routines and offer plenty of choice, always putting the child first and giving room for personal initiative.
