De Bosklimmers

Welcome to De Bosklimmers, the out-of-school care centre at Marquettelaan 30 in Heemskerk where children aged 4 to 12 play, discover and experience adventure in nature. Founded in 2023 by Bart and Lisette out of a passion for outdoor play and sharing nature experiences, our team guides up to 42 children per day in a safe and challenging environment. At De Bosklimmers we believe there is no bad weather, only bad clothing. That’s why we go outside in every type of weather – sun or rain – and explore each season together. Only when the national weather alert is code red or outdoor safety cannot be guaranteed do we shelter in our indoor location. Our pedagogical approach focuses on developing knowledge and skills through nature-based activities. Children learn to interact with nature, animals and the environment and become aware of everything you can do with nature. Our programme is adventurous and varied: romping in the forest, searching for animals, making camp fires, preparing food from nature such as wild garlic butter and pesto, and occasionally taking trips to discover the village. We pick up children from Anne Frank and St. Leonardus primary schools. If your child attends another school, he or she can still register with us; when we expand we take new schools into account. We offer an all-in package consisting of school days, holiday days and study days. Through our parent portal (Kidsadmin) we keep you updated on all your child’s experiences.
