BSO de Boomhut

BSO de Boomhut is part of Kindernet KC de Bostuin and is located on the first floor of the child centre at Bloemendalsweg 1B in the green Colmschate district of Deventer. We provide before- and after-school care for up to 22 children aged 4 to 12. Our spacious upstairs area is purpose-built for the BSO: a welcoming kitchen where children bake biscuits, pizza or soup, a separate creative room for crafts, painting and drawing, and a chill-out corner with cushions and books for those who simply want to relax after school. The Boomhut is nestled between woodland and a playground. We use the rich natural surroundings every day: building dens, searching for insects, creating mud kitchens or just running wild. When the weather is good we eat outside and organise games on the field. Inside we foster a homely atmosphere; children decide for themselves whether to join an activity or curl up on the sofa with a book. Our qualified pedagogical staff are always ready to listen, help with homework and strengthen friendships. We work closely with the primary schools in the immediate area, including CBS De Wingerd and De Vlinderboom. After school the children are collected and walk or cycle to the Boomhut under supervision. During holidays and study days we are open all day from 07:30 to 18:30 and offer a varied programme with themed activities, trips to playgrounds and creative workshops. Parents experience our care as small-scale, personal and committed: "Everyone knows each other here and our child feels at home."
