BSO De Blokkendoos

BSO De Blokkendoos is located at Prelaat van den Bergplein 10 in Lithoijen and has been a trusted after-school care location for almost 25 years. We welcome primary-school children aged 4 to 12 in a homely, small-scale setting with a large garden featuring play equipment, football goals and a picnic area. Our qualified pedagogical staff offer a varied programme every day. Children can choose from sports and games such as football, handball, tennis and hockey, or enjoy mind games like chess, draughts and Stratego. Creative children can craft, cook or bake, while others quietly read a book or do homework. We actively involve the children in choosing activities and regularly hold children’s meetings so everyone feels heard. We collect children with our own BSO bus from Basisschool de Meander (Lith), Basisschool Sint Jozef (Lithoijen), Basisschool de Kleine Weide (Oijen) and Basisschool St. Antonius (Maren-Kessel). Holiday care is available for children from other schools. During holidays we are open Monday to Friday 7:30 – 18:30; during school weeks on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 14:30 – 18:30. Our aim is to be an extension of home: a safe place where children can be themselves, have fun and discover new talents. We work with fixed, qualified staff who give personal attention and supervise a maximum of 20 children at a time. Together we ensure a good balance between active play and unwinding after a long school day.
