BSO de blauwe rups

BSO De Blauwe Rups is a small-scale after-school care facility in Leiden Zuidwest, where personal attention and conviviality are central. We provide care for up to 30 children aged 4 to 12 years. Our location is situated at Montgomerystraat 50 in Leiden. At De Blauwe Rups, we work with a vertical group structure, where children of different ages play and learn together. This stimulates social development and ensures that siblings can be together. We pick up children from various schools in the area and also bring them back to school. Our activities are diverse and tailored to the children's interests. We regularly make trips to playgrounds in the neighborhood and use the sports fields around our building for football and other sports activities. Inside, we have plenty of (construction) play materials and children can enjoy drawing or crafting with our pedagogical staff. What makes us special is that children are allowed to indicate what they feel like doing. We believe in the power of free choice and developing one's own initiative. Our small-scale and informal setup ensures that children quickly feel at home. Communication with parents takes place through short lines. We find it important that parents are involved and always informed about how their children are doing. The team consists of Ruben and Ferdy, who are always available for questions or comments. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 14:45 to 18:30, on Wednesday from 12:00 to 18:30. During holidays and study days, we are open from 8:30 to 18:30.
