De Bikkels

BSO De Bikkels is part of child centre De Toverdroom and is located inside primary school OBS Westerkim at Vermeerstraat 1 in Dongen. We provide before- and after-school care for up to 16 children aged 4 to 12. Our qualified staff collect the children every day from OBS Westerkim and BS De Vlinderboom; care for pupils from other schools can be arranged by agreement. We follow a clear daily rhythm that alternates moments of rest and activity. After school the children first enjoy a healthy snack and a drink to unwind. They can then choose freely from various play and relaxation corners: crafting, building, games or quiet reading in our reading nook. When the weather is nice we make full use of the school playground; when it is less favourable we stay inside our spacious, homely classroom. Structure and routine are central, so that children feel safe and secure. Our pedagogical staff are trained to guide children in making their own choices, interacting with others and developing independence. Through the parent portal Kindplanner parents can easily register or deregister their child, report holiday days and exchange messages with the group. For urgent matters during care we send a message via the app, so parents are always informed. BSO De Bikkels has been registered in the National Childcare Register since 1 February 2019 and operates according to the quality standards of De Toverdroom.
