BSO de Bikkels

BSO de Bikkels is located at Stampioendreef 3 in Bergschenhoek, right next to primary school De Willibrord and surrounded by three local schools. Since 2010 we have provided out-of-school care for up to 110 children aged 4 to 12. Our location is part of Catalpa Out-of-School Care and is officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 139191902. Our spacious, modern group room is set in the school’s celebration hall and is divided into two home groups: the Bikkels (max. 20 children) and Bikkels 1 (max. 10 children). Each group has its own colour and a dedicated pedagogical employee who acts as a personal mentor, ensuring every child receives individual attention and parents always know whom to approach. Outside, children enjoy a large green playground with climbing frames, a nature garden, paved areas and challenging balance beams. After school they can run, climb and explore to their heart’s content. We safely walk children to and from nearby schools; for schools a little further away we use our own cars and Stints. During every school holiday we offer a varied activity programme—think sports days, creative workshops, trips to the beach, Madurodam or a playground, and themed weekends such as film-making or building bird houses. Activities are announced well in advance through a digital flyer and our parent app. Parents use the app to register or deregister their child, request extra incidental care and stay informed about the day’s adventures. We believe open cooperation with parents is essential to bringing out the best in every child.
