BSO De Berk

BSO De Berk is located within the modern Kindcentrum De Berk at Anjerstraat 4A in Kaatsheuvel. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 in two age-based groups. Our youngest children from grades 1 to 3 play downstairs in a space shared with the toddler group, where they can enjoy the learning area with building and housekeeping corners. Older children from grades 4 to 8 have their own space upstairs with a quiet learning corner for reading or playing games. Our philosophy is that children at BSO are in their free time. They are free to choose their own activities and decide how to spend their afternoon. We work with themes: every few weeks the children choose a new theme, within which we offer crafts, games, reading and other activities. We adapt the play areas and materials to match the chosen theme. BSO is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 14:30 to 18:30 and on Wednesday from 12:15 to 18:30. During school holidays we are open every weekday from 7:30 to 18:30. While most children come from De Berk primary school, we also welcome pupils from other schools. On Wednesdays our children are walked to BSO De Petteflet (5-minute walk) due to lower attendance. We believe it's important that children can play and explore both individually and in groups. Our professional childcare staff provide a safe and homely environment where every child can be themselves.
