De Bem

Welcome to BSO De Bem, a small-scale after-school care facility located inside De Bem primary school at Bemlaan 5 in Zevenaar. Because our BSO is housed within the school, we offer children a familiar and safe place where they can relax, play, and discover new things after school. We serve children aged 4 to 12 who attend De Bem primary school or other nearby schools. At BSO De Bem, we work from Humankind's vision: challenging children, stimulating their independence, and helping them discover their talents. We believe that children learn most by experiencing, exploring, making decisions, and even making mistakes themselves. Our pedagogical staff provide the right guidance and create an environment where children feel safe and valued. Our location has its own outdoor space where children can play and move. We also use the school's facilities, such as the gym and playroom. This allows us to offer a varied program of activities focused on sports and games, creative activities, and nature experiences. We regularly organize excursions in the Zevenaar area so that children can explore and learn beyond the school and BSO. We pick up children from De Bem primary school and, if needed, from other schools in the immediate area. For the youngest children, we always pick them up personally from school. If the distance to the BSO is more than 15 to 20 minutes walking, we arrange transportation by car, van, or taxi. This ensures all children arrive safely with us. BSO De Bem is open Monday through Friday from 07:30 to 18:30. We offer care for fixed days, but parents with varying work schedules can also come to us. Feel free to ask about the possibilities. Our location has space for up to 30 children, allowing us to remain small-scale and give personal attention to each child.
