BSO De Appelgaard

BSO De Appelgaard is located in the child center at De Meet 5 in Nieuwe Niedorp. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 years in a beautiful environment with plenty of space for outdoor play and discovery. Our location features three group spaces on the first floor and has direct access to the adjacent forest and park. Outdoor life is central to our approach. Children can freely play in the small forest next to our location, where they build huts, romp around, and discover nature. We have our own vegetable garden where we grow vegetables and fruits together with the children. This garden is also used by the toddler group, creating a beautiful connection between different age groups. For older children, we offer workshops in small groups in our studio. Here they can engage in creative activities such as woodworking, soldering, knitting, and sewing. These activities not only stimulate their creativity but also their technical skills and collaboration. We work closely with BSO de Keet in Winkel. When children turn 8 years old, they transition from BSO de Keet to our location in Nieuwe Niedorp. During study days and some holidays, we combine the groups, allowing children to get to know each other and make friends from different villages. Our location is situated next to the 'De oude Boomgaard' comprehensive school, ensuring a smooth transition from school to after-school care. Children can easily walk from school to the care facility, providing peace and confidence.
