BSO De Boomgaard

Christoforus Childcare at Elferinksweg 106 in Enschede is part of the De Noorderkroon child center, a collaboration between Christoforus and the Waldorf School De Noorderkroon. Our after-school care (BSO) is located in the completely renovated, energy-neutral school building at Elferinksweg, where primary school, childcare and toddler care come together under one roof. We provide after-school care for up to 22 children aged 4 to 12 years. The BSO spaces are all located in our own building, allowing children to go directly to a familiar environment after school. Our pedagogical staff are ready with a cup of tea, yogurt and fresh fruit to welcome the children after a busy school day. Our approach is inspired by anthroposophical pedagogy. We believe that children develop themselves by discovering through play, conversation and learning. In our homely atmosphere, children have the space to explore the world with toys made from natural materials. We offer a diverse program where we pay attention to the rhythm of the children and stimulate their natural curiosity. The De Noorderkroon child center has a green playground and is located directly next to the Stadsveld playground, which children are allowed to use. Outdoor play, getting dirty and experiencing wonder are part of our daily rhythm. We work with organic food and pay attention to a healthy living environment, striving for good indoor climate in all our spaces.
