Bussel

Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of Kindcentrum De Bussel, located at James Grievelaan 23A in the centre of Blokker. We are part of Kindcentrum De Bussel, an integral child centre where care and education blend seamlessly. Our BSO is designed for children aged 4 to 12 from the whole neighbourhood; pupils from our own primary school as well as from the Sint Jozefschool are warmly welcomed. As soon as they step inside, children enter our cosy play house. The space is richly furnished with corners for crafting, building, hiding or quietly reading a book. Creative materials are always ready for drawing, cutting, pasting and painting. In the construction corner they can build the most beautiful creations with LEGO, Kapla and other materials. Dress-up clothes invite role play and imaginative adventures. Whenever the weather allows, we spend a lot of time outdoors. We have a safe, green playground where children can run, climb, swing and play football. In bad weather we gratefully use the school gym. There we organise movement activities such as dodgeball, dance or sport and game circuits. The children actively contribute ideas about the activity programme; their ideas are central. During school holidays we offer an extensive activity programme. Think of sports days, creative workshops, nature excursions and games afternoons. Even then there is plenty of room for the children's own input. Our pedagogical staff are ready to guide, stimulate and above all enjoy with them. We believe a warm, familiar environment is important. That is why we work from the principles of the Peaceful BSO: we teach children how to deal with each other, resolve conflicts and take differences into account.
