BSO Burchtkanjers

BSO Burchtkanjers is located in De Burcht, the beautiful accommodation of football club S.V. Meerkerk at Burggraaf 5 in Meerkerk. Our location welcomes up to 48 children aged 4 to 12. Thanks to the immediate proximity of the sports complex we have plenty of outdoor space where children can romp, play sports and have fun. We pick the children up on foot from school; from De Springplank OBS this is about a twelve-minute walk. When several schools finish at the same time or we are going on an excursion, we use the BSO bus. For every trip we ask permission in advance via the parent portal and we follow a fixed, safe route. Upon arrival we always take time to listen to the stories of the school day. Afterwards the children choose whether to join an activity or simply relax. Our activities range from sports and games to creative and relaxing moments. During school holidays we regularly organise fun outings, for example to a park or museum. We work with mixed age groups (4-12 years) and tailor the programme to each child’s interests and developmental stage. Younger children often play in a familiar setting, while older children seek more independence and challenge. Our pedagogical staff guide children in discovering their talents, developing self-confidence and learning to interact with others. Together we set clear agreements and provide space to experiment and explore boundaries in a safe environment.
