Buitenschoolse opvang Steltloper

Welcome to Buitenschoolse opvang Steltloper, located in the Brede School Steltloper at Directeur van der Mühlenlaan 30 in Kerkrade-Oost. We are part of Flow kinderopvang and provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 13. Our BSO has a homely set-up with its own living room and kitchen where children gather after school. We pick up children after school from Steltloper primary school and De Blokkenberg primary school. Together we walk to our space where the children first enjoy a snack and drink. Afterwards, they decide what they want to do: relax with a book, join sports and games, do arts and crafts, or play outside. The Brede School offers us plenty of options: a playroom, gym, a private patio with punch-bag and basketball hoop, plus a large playground and adjacent football field. Children’s participation is very important to us. Our child-mayors help decide the monthly activity schedule. We ask what the children enjoy: sports afternoons, lip-sync shows, disco or creative outings. During holidays we run a separate holiday programme of 12 weeks packed with fun trips and bigger activities. Our BSO is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 14:30 to 18:30 and on Wednesday from 12:30 to 18:30. For parents who start early we offer before-school care from 07:00 to 09:00. We provide a healthy snack and drink and make sure every child feels at home in a warm, safe place.
