BSO KeizerKarel

Welcome to BSO KeizerKarel, located at Sophiaweg 450 in Nijmegen. We are part of Kinderopvang Rijk van Nijmegen and provide after-school care for up to 60 children aged 4 to 12 years. Our location is renowned for its unique combination of scouting-related activities and nature experiences. At BSO KeizerKarel, everything revolves around adventure, discovery and being outdoors together. Our children experience the real scouting world: building huts from branches and leaves, learning to make and conquer rope courses, making campfires and roasting apples. In winter we make bird feeders, go sledding and perhaps even skiing at "De Heilige Eik". But there's also plenty of opportunity for creativity indoors in our heated spaces, where we craft and read. Our activities focus on developing independence, cooperation and respect for nature. We regularly go on excursions into nature, such as looking for beavers in Ooy, picking raspberries or getting acquainted with gnomes in Beek. The children learn to recognize the seasons by what they see, smell and taste in nature. BSO KeizerKarel is open Monday through Friday and works with dedicated, professional pedagogical staff who all have an affinity with scouting and nature education. We provide a safe and challenging environment where children can develop into independent, social and adventurous individuals.
