Buitenschoolse opvang Pork

Buitenschoolse opvang Pork is part of Integral Child Centre (IKC) de Pork located at Zanglijster 38 in Ter Apel. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 13 years in a familiar environment that we share with primary school SWBS Pork. Our space is designed for children aged 4 to 12 and contains various play areas where children can express themselves. We have our own cupboard with toys and materials specifically tailored to the interests of our after-school children. Small toys or hazardous items are safely stored out of reach of younger children. Our after-school care uses the spacious schoolyard of SWBS Pork. The yard is fenced and offers plenty of space to play football, climb and clamber, swing and slide. There is a sandbox available and we have outdoor materials such as balance bikes, tricycles and sidewalk chalk. We go outside at least once daily, even in rainy weather. Outdoor play is an important part of our day. We go on discovery trips, learn about small insects and edible plants, and organize outdoor activities. After school, we welcome the children with a shared moment at the table. We have something to drink and eat fruit and vegetables. Then children can choose what they want to do. We offer various activities such as sports and games, crafts, baking and nature activities. Around 16:30 there is another moment to eat a cracker. Children are picked up between 17:00 and 18:00. Our pedagogical staff are ready to give the children a pleasant afternoon. We work with a fixed daily schedule so children know what to expect. This gives them a sense of peace and security. We tailor our guidance to the needs of each child and consult with parents where necessary.
