BSO Merwedeplein

Welcome to BSO Merwedeplein, part of childcare organisation HINK, located at Hobbemastraat 3 in Hardinxveld-Giessendam. We provide after-school care for up to 51 children aged 4 to 13. Our setting is an integral part of the Integral Child Centre (IKC) Merwede, allowing pupils from De Regenboog primary school to walk straight to us after classes. Children from other schools are also welcome if parents arrange safe transport. Our vision is simple: after-school care should be a play-and-learn centre. Play comes first, because children learn through play. We create a safe yet challenging environment where children can explore, experiment and experience freely. Every child is unique and develops at their own pace. We truly see each child, paying attention to talents, background and personal needs. In this way children learn to recognise their talents and use them to reach goals. BSO Merwedeplein has three groups. Toys and activities are tailored to the age of each group. We offer a varied programme including arts & crafts, sports, drama and cooking. Children decide for themselves what they want to do and, depending on their age, help design the activity schedule. Sitting quietly with a book or simply doing nothing is also fine. After-school time is clearly free time. We collect children from De Regenboog after school and escort them to our BSO.
