Welcome to after-school care De Woelige Hoek, located at Keesomlaan 13 in the heart of Den Burg on Texel. As part of Kinderopvang Texel, we provide a homely place where school children aged 4 to 12 can relax, play and share adventures after school. We work with three age groups: BSO Welpjes (youngest group), BSO Draken (middle group) and BSO Leeuwen (oldest group). This allows children to play with peers and learn from each other. After a busy school day, there's nothing better than being outside. Our spacious outdoor area offers plenty of room to run, climb, build huts or simply feel the wind in your hair. Fresh air gives energy and makes room for new discoveries. Inside, cosiness and relaxation are paramount. Children choose what they feel like doing: playing an exciting game, baking cookies, getting creative with finger paint or quietly reading a book. Our pedagogical staff are ready with a wide range of activities, but children are also welcome to contribute their own ideas. Nothing is mandatory, everything is allowed. We regularly organize sports tournaments, craft afternoons or trips to the playground. For children who need some rest, there's always a spot to chill. Sharing stories about the school day with a friend or staff member is also part of the experience. We work with short lines and a close-knit team of qualified professionals who receive continuous training. This way we keep learning from each other and from the children every day. BSO De Woelige Hoek is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. We accommodate 50 children and operate from one location at Keesomlaan. Together we create a safe, challenging environment where children can be themselves and explore the world with pleasure.
