Buitenschoolse Opvang De Weem 1 is a location of De Eerste Stap childcare B.V., situated at De Weem 1 in Bergharen. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 who attend primary school. Our BSO has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since March 1, 2021, under number 146119058, and has capacity for up to 20 children. We believe that children need both rest and challenge after school hours. Therefore, we offer theme and age-oriented activities that align with each child's development. Our pedagogical staff create a safe, challenging and loving environment where children can be themselves and feel at home quickly. De Eerste Stap values fun as the foundation for developing social and personal skills. Children play together with peers, have fun and learn from each other. We follow De Eerste Stap's pedagogical plan, which centers on four educational goals: providing emotional safety, developing social competencies, developing personal competencies and transferring norms and values. Our location works closely with the primary school where we are located. This allows children to come directly to the BSO after school, and parents don't need to worry about transportation. We are open from school closing time until 18:30. On school closure days and during school holidays, we are open from 07:30 to 18:30.
