Buitenschoolse Opvang De Schatkist

BSO De Schatkist is part of Flow Kinderopvang and is located inside primary school De Schatkist at Feldbiss 210 in Kerkrade. Because we are literally housed in the school building, children experience the after-school care as a familiar place: after school they simply walk through one more door and already feel at home. We provide care for children aged 4 to 12, both after school hours and during study days and holidays. Our spaces are directly connected to the school, giving us access to an indoor gym, an inspiring learning square, two large outdoor areas and the school stage. Thanks to this close cooperation with De Schatkist primary school we can offer an exceptionally wide range of activities. After a long school day, children’s own time begins with us. We always start by sharing a snack and a drink together. Afterwards your child can relax, read a book or join one of the many activities we offer every day, such as sports and games, arts and crafts, nature activities or creative projects. We are close to playground d’r Prick and the Cruyff Court football field, so there is always plenty of room for active play. Child participation is very important to us. We actively ask the children which activities or outings they would enjoy and, together with our child council, we draw up a monthly activity calendar. This way every month has its own surprising programme. During holiday weeks children from BSO Woelhonk also come to De Schatkist, making it extra cosy and creating new friendships between children who do not see each other at school every day. We use fixed drop-off and pick-up times so that parents and pedagogical staff have time to talk. During holidays drop-off is until 09:00 and pick-up starts at 16:00. In short, BSO De Schatkist is the place where school-aged children in Kerkrade can relax safely, actively and in their own way after school.
