Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of Kindcentrum BuitenRijck, located at Metelerkampstraat 105 in the green RijswijkBuiten district. We offer children from the age of 4 a journey full of possibilities, where play, discovery and development are central. Our BSO is part of an integrated child centre where childcare and education seamlessly connect. At our BSO, children choose their own activities, learning to make choices and contribute to shaping their afternoon. We provide a varied programme that closely matches their world of experience. Activities take place in our development and learning areas, playroom, studio, gym and the spacious outdoor areas around the centre. Sports, games and creativity alternate, and during school holidays and free days we organise extra outings and workshops. Children aged 8 and older go to our BuitenHuis at Van Rijnweg, within walking distance of the main building. Here, independence and responsibility are key. A planning board shows the daily activity programme and children can contribute ideas via the suggestion box. In this way, they grow in self-reliance in a playful manner. We work from three pillars: 'influence on your own course', 'in motion' and 'togetherness'. Trust, safety and putting the child first are always paramount. Our pedagogical staff guide children with attention and give every child the space to be who he or she is.
