Bso Buiten De Groene Inval

Welcome to BSO Buiten De Groene Inval, our permanent location at Geerenweg 8 in Baarn. We are part of BSO Buiten, an after-school childcare organisation where enjoying nature is the central theme. Children aged 4 to 12 feel completely at home with us after school hours. Our site is situated on the grounds of the Nature and Environment Education Centre De Groene Inval. This unique setting gives us direct access to woods, meadows and a vegetable garden. We use nature as one big playground and learning lab. On an ordinary afternoon the children can help in the vegetable garden, build dens in the forest or, together with our pigs, turn over a plot of land for new vegetables. We deliberately work in small, mixed-age groups so that younger and older children learn from each other. When the weather is poor we shelter in our spacious indoor area, but we prefer to be outside. We have our own shed with materials, a covered veranda and plenty of rain gear so an outdoor day is never rained off. Our pedagogical staff guide the children in discovering the seasons, recognising plants and animals and developing respect for the living environment. We also regularly organise short excursions by cargo bike to other nature areas in Baarn and the surrounding region. This keeps the programme varied and helps the children get to know their own environment better.
