Buiten BSO Emmelerbos

Buiten BSO Emmelerbos is an after-school care facility run by Stichting Kinderopvang Noordoostpolder (SKN), located in the heart of the Emmelerbos at Sportlaan 87D, Emmeloord. Since 1 February 2025 we provide care for up to 22 children aged 4 to 12 years. Our location is officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 151371519. We work closely with Korfbalvereniging Emmeloord, whose modern clubhouse has been in use since 2018. The fields and building are mainly used in the evenings and at weekends; with the arrival of our outdoor after-school care, the venue is now also fully utilised during the day. SKN arranges transport from school to the outdoor BSO, allowing parents to work without worry. Children love being outdoors: they can burn off energy and explore nature. Research shows that outdoor play has a positive effect on children's development. Their senses are stimulated, motor skills develop, concentration and creativity increase, and social interaction with other children strengthens their social skills. That is why being outdoors is central to our approach: we offer sports activities and teach children, through play, how to interact with the natural environment of the Emmelerbos.
