Welcome to BSO Flipje, located at Flipjestraat 31 in the friendly Stripheldenbuurt neighbourhood of Almere Buiten. We are a small-scale, independent after-school care facility that has been offering children aged 4 to 12 a safe, warm and inspiring place after school since October 2024. Our multifunctional building also houses a community centre, the primary schools Het Drieluik and De Klimop, and a dentist. Through a covered walkway or internal passage we collect your child straight from the classroom, so you never have to worry about traffic or weather conditions. Does your child attend another primary school in Almere-Buiten? No problem: we pick up from every school in the area and bring your child safely to BSO Flipje. Our vision is clear: we want to be more than just ‘childcare’. We create an environment where children can unwind, let their imagination run free and develop to their full potential. We do this according to the principles of Steiner education, focusing on the child’s overall development. Every day starts with a personal conversation so we know exactly what your child needs. Our certified pedagogical staff and teachers – all with an artistic background and extensive experience, including in trauma-sensitive education – provide tailor-made activities. Our programme is broad and well-considered. Children can take part in creative workshops such as painting, clay work, theatre and music, sporting challenges like football, dance, yoga and climbing, and nature exploration during regular trips to the Oostvaardersplassen. We organise cooking workshops, experiments in our Sciencelab, and mindfulness and yoga sessions that enhance concentration and emotional well-being. Thanks to our small scale – a maximum of 33 children – there is always room for personal attention and flexible daily planning. Our mission is to guide children towards a balanced and self-confident life, with cooperation, respect and care for one another and the environment at its heart.
