BSO Zonnebloei Hilversum

BSO Zonnebloei Hilversum is located at Schuttersweg 34 in the centre of Hilversum and is part of Kindcentrum Zonnebloei. We provide after-school care for up to 22 children aged 4 to 12. Our guiding principle is “nature as a rich learning environment”: we follow a nature-oriented approach in which sustainability, healthy food and outdoor play are central. After school we welcome the children into a homely, calm setting. The afternoon starts with a healthy snack and a moment to unwind. Children can then choose from activities such as gardening in our vegetable patch, crafting with natural materials, cooking and baking with fresh ingredients, and nature discovery. At around 5 p.m. we share a warm vegetarian meal (vegan also possible) prepared with organic products whenever possible. Our qualified pedagogical staff guide the children with attention and respect. We use horizontal groups so that children play and share experiences with peers. Parents can request extra days or swaps through our parent portal. We work closely with local primary schools to ensure a warm hand-over and a continuous line in the child’s development.
