BSO 't Strand

Welcome to BSO ’t Strand, the after-school care centre in the heart of Elst where children aged 4 to 12 can truly be themselves after the school day ends. We are located at Mozartstraat 12 in the De Helster neighbourhood and have room for up to 140 children. Since 1 January 2025 we have been officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 243879647, meeting all statutory quality requirements. BSO ’t Strand is part of childcare organisation De Kikkerkoning, a warm family where love and connection are at the core. Our site offers a green and spacious playground and several themed indoor areas. Children can express themselves in our studio, where they get creative with paper, paint, clay, fabric and beads in ‘a hundred languages’. Everything is placed at child height so they can create their own artworks independently. Our pedagogical staff guide when needed, but the children are in charge of their own creative process. We also have a real children’s kitchen where little chefs can cook and bake, and a woodworking corner with benches for sawing, hammering and gluing. From bird houses to miniature villages: the most beautiful creations are made here every day. Older children even have access to glue guns, screwdrivers and a drill to experiment with. BSO ’t Strand works together with all primary schools in Elst. We pick children up and take them to class when necessary. We also offer before-school care from 7.30 a.m. Our location is a place where children can play, discover and learn in freedom. We believe every child is talented and give them the space to develop that talent.
