BSO Speelland Apollo

Welcome to BSO Speelland – location Apollo, located inside Montessorischool Apollo at Strausspad 3 in Leiden. Since January 2025 we offer a small-scale, familiar after-school care for children aged 4 to 13. Our team is ready every day to give children a warm second home where they can be themselves and grow through play. We work closely with the teachers of Montessorischool Apollo. These short lines ensure a smooth transition from school to care and give children peace and recognition. After school, the youngest children gather at the hall of the lower grades; older students walk independently to our BSO room, where a familiar face is waiting. We start calmly with a drink and a snack so that everyone can recover from the school day. After that, children choose what they want to do. In our cozy space there is plenty of room for their own initiative: drawing, crafts, playing a game or exercising in the school’s own gym. The activities match the child’s world of experience and encourage independence, cooperation and discovery. We believe it is important that every child can follow his or her own interests and develop at his or her own pace. BSO Speelland Apollo is small-scale and personal. Children know each other and our permanent team, creating a safe and homely atmosphere. Parents experience us as an extension of the family: a place where children enjoy going and where they can be left with peace of mind. We look forward to welcoming your child too!
