BSO Scharrelnest

BSO Scharrelnest is a cozy and small-scale after-school care facility for children aged 4 to 12, located in a unique spot in Wijchen: a farm campsite with a rural atmosphere. We offer an abundance of adventurous opportunities, with plenty of animals such as chickens, rabbits and goats, and inviting indoor and outdoor spaces where children can play to their heart's content. Our after-school care group consists of a maximum of 11 children per day, with capacity expandable to 22 children. We operate in one horizontal group where children of different ages play and learn together. Our location features an orchard with various types of fruit and a greenhouse with different vegetables. This allows us to observe what grows and blooms, while teaching children about nature and sustainability in a playful way. Children can go on discovery tours with our pedagogical staff. We offer many outdoor activities such as go-karting, cycling and walking. We also regularly visit our farm animals. We believe in the importance of outdoor play and stimulating children's imagination and creativity. Our location is safe and familiar, with plenty of space to run, climb and romp. We work closely with parents and caregivers to optimally support each child's development. We welcome questions and ideas, and regularly organize parent evenings and activities involving parents. At BSO Scharrelnest, we believe it's important that children feel at home and enjoy coming to our facility.
