BSO Prinses Amalia De Speeltuin

Welcome to BSO Prinses Amalia De Speeltuin, located right inside the playground at Spaanseweg 38 in Rotterdam. Part of KindeRdam, we provide after-school care for children aged 7 to 13. The setting is truly special: next to a public playground and a stone’s throw from a small petting zoo, giving children endless opportunities to play outside, meet animals and experience nature after school. We believe children learn best by playing and exploring. Our programme therefore offers age-appropriate activities such as arts, music and dance lessons, as well as sports and creative workshops. Of course, there is also plenty of time to read a book, play a board game or simply relax with friends. Freedom of choice is key—lots is allowed, little is obligatory. Our BSO is a green childcare centre. Children learn about nature by sowing and harvesting in our own vegetable patches and by regular visits to the petting zoo. In this way they develop respect for animals and the environment. Every day we serve a healthy, warm meal prepared with organic, seasonal vegetables; no extra charge applies. We collect children from Auris Hildernisseschool, OBS Kasteel Spangen and Prinses Margrietschool on foot or by cargo bike. During school holidays we run BSO Holiday Land, a themed programme packed with exciting activities. There is always something going on at BSO Prinses Amalia De Speeltuin.
