BSO Partou Vliet 2

Welcome to BSO Partou Vliet 2! We are located at Vliet 2A, right next to the De Struytse Hoeck shopping centre in Hellevoetsluis. We share the building with the day-care centre, but we have our own spacious, colourful after-school area, a real gym and a cosy kitchen where we bake every week. We pick up children with our own minibuses from De Bron, De Brandaris, ’t Schrijverke, Montessorischool and Hendrik Boogaard, so we are already waiting when the school bell rings. Up to 33 children aged 4 to 12 can join us for before-school care, after-school care and holiday care. We work with two base groups: the Sharks (max. 22 children) and the Dolphins (max. 11 children). Within one group you will find both younger and older children; the little ones learn from the big ones and brothers and sisters can stay together. Our gym is a real eye-catcher: here we play football, badminton, dance or invent fantasy games. We also have themed corners where we do crafts, build and play games. In the kitchen we bake oatmeal-banana cookies together or make healthy snacks. Of course we are also outside every day: running, climbing and romping in our own garden or on the square. We follow the Partou Pedagogy: children are given space to discover, are allowed to think along and choose their own activities. Regular pedagogical staff provide recognition and a sense of security. Everything we do – from the daily routine to the layout – is aimed at children being themselves and coming to the after-school care with pleasure. Parents stay involved through our Partou app: here you can read newsletters, see photos and find information about the day. Twice a year we organise an open afternoon and parent-child activities. We think it is important that parents think along; our parent committee has an advisory role on policy, nutrition and safety.
