BSO Orion is located in primary school De Schittering at St Annastraat 34 in Oudenbosch and is part of Stichting Kinderopvang Oudenbosch. We provide both before-school care (from 07:00) and after-school care (until 17:00 or 18:15/18:30) for children aged 4 to 12. Our location welcomes children from all schools in Oudenbosch: De Bukehof, De Schittering, The Klinkert, De Regenboog, and even children attending special education outside Oudenbosch who are transported by taxi. At BSO Orion, enjoying free time is central. We do not see ourselves as an extension of the school day, but as a safe, homely place where children can relax after an intensive school day and discover their own interests. Between every two school holidays we introduce a new activity programme in which sports, games, crafts, cooking and experimenting alternate. We tailor activities to the seasons and holidays so that children always experience something new. Our spaces are practically and child-friendly designed. We have our own BSO classroom, share a wing with day-care centre De Kleine Beer and toddler care De Fonkeling, and also use the gym, outdoor areas, craft room and an attic/theatre room. During school holidays we organise outings and workshops so that children can fully enjoy every break. Communication with parents runs smoothly via the Konnect parent portal. Here you can view your child’s schedule, report illness, request holidays and swap days, arrange extra care and view your invoices. Photos of activities and group messages are also available here. We also really appreciate the extra attention given to her allergy." At BSO Orion we work exclusively with professionally trained pedagogical staff who are evaluated annually by the GGD.
