BSO Nella Della Bellamy is our small-scale after-school care located right in the heart of Amsterdam Oud-West, at Schimmelstraat 38 H. For more than five years we have offered a warm second home to a maximum of twenty children aged 4 to 12. Because we deliberately keep the group small, every child receives plenty of personal attention from our permanent team of experienced, qualified pedagogical staff. Everything we do revolves around letting children be children. At our place they can play freely, develop, discover and, above all, enjoy themselves. We cultivate a homely atmosphere in which everyone is welcome and feels part of the family. Each day we serve a fresh, hot meal prepared on the premises; five days a week the children can count on healthy, tasty food. Outdoor exercise and fresh air are high on our priority list, so we go outside every day. In addition, we run a fun creative workshop every week where children can explore and try new things. Parents appreciate our commitment and the warm character of our setting; comments such as “it feels like one big family” and “the staff are super sweet and involved” confirm that we succeed in our goal of providing a trusted place where children feel at home.
