BSO Michael

BSO Michael is located at the Michaëlschool on Hercules Seghersstraat 1 in the Huizum district of Leeuwarden. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 13 in a warm, homely environment. Our pedagogical approach is based on anthroposophical principles: calm, rhythm, experience, and attention are central. We work closely with the Michaëlschool, a Waldorf/Steiner school, allowing us to align with school hours and holidays. Our location accommodates up to 20 children. We are open Monday to Friday from the end of the school day until 18:30. During school holidays and study days, we are open from 8:00 to 18:30. We offer a varied program including arts and crafts, outdoor play, and nature education. Creativity and imagination are strongly encouraged. Every child is supported to feel safe and seen. Our pedagogical staff are professional, caring, and committed to personal attention. We work with familiar faces and small groups to create a trusted atmosphere. Parents appreciate the warm environment, consistent guidance, and the balance between structure and freedom.
