Kindcentrum Van den Bergh

BSO Kindcentrum Van den Bergh is part of Kindcentrum Van den Bergh, an integrated children’s centre in the heart of Voorthuizen. Our after-school care is located in a dedicated, spacious area inside the school building at Gerard Doustraat 125. We provide care for up to 33 primary-school children aged 4–12 and work closely with the school staff to ensure a seamless transition between the school day and after-school time. We offer both before-school care (VSO) and after-school care (BSO). Children are welcomed in our base groups before school starts and again after classes end. The youngest pupils from Years 1 and 2 are collected directly from their classroom; older children walk to the BSO area on their own. Upon arrival we always serve a healthy snack: fresh fruit, vegetables and a drink. Afterwards the children can play outside on the increasingly green school playground or take part in a creative indoor activity. Around 4 p.m. they receive a light meal such as a cracker with toppings and can choose free play or join an organised activity. Our pedagogical team follows the vision of the PCOGV foundation: children are given every opportunity to develop through play, with independence, social skills and enjoyment at the heart of everything we do. We use the parent app Konnect so parents can view photos and daily reports and stay informed about what their child has experienced. Holiday care is also available; during school-free days we run exciting themed days and local excursions. In short, BSO Kindcentrum Van den Bergh is a familiar, safe place where children can relax, play and discover new things after school under the guidance of dedicated childcare professionals.
