BSO Kameleon

BSO De Kameleon is located at Reijmerweg 92 in Renkum and is part of RivaKids, an organization that has been providing childcare in the Betuwe and Veluwe region for over 25 years. Our after-school care is housed in the former Dr. A. Schweitzer school building and welcomes up to 44 children aged 4 to 12. We pick up children from primary schools in Renkum and the surrounding area. Younger children in groups 1 to 4 are collected from school by our pedagogical staff; older children are allowed to walk to the BSO on their own. After arrival, we start calmly with a friendly chat and free play. Then we enjoy fruit and whole-wheat crackers with healthy toppings together. This is a nice moment to hear how the children are doing and what is on their minds. Every day we offer a varied programme centred around sports and games. We make use of the spacious gym and the green outdoor area under the trees. Children can take part in organised activities such as sports tournaments, creative craft workshops or nature activities, but there is also plenty of room for them to decide how to spend their free time. In between, we drink water and tea and the children receive a healthy snack. Our location manager Chantal de Jonge and her team are ready every weekday to provide children with a safe and challenging place where they can develop into the best version of themselves. We work closely with local schools and tailor our offer to the wishes and needs of the children. During school holidays we are open from 7.30 am to 6.30 pm and offer an extensive holiday programme.
